Syros Escape

The 265m² villa extends amphitheatrically on 18 acres of sloped south-facing land in Posidonia area on the island of Syros. MELKA completed the design and managed the Construction in collaboration with a local contractor. The residence is designed along the slope, its forms generated by creating focal points of the unobstructed Phoenicas Bay view. Taking advantage of and adjusting to the specifics of the Cycladic Greek climate, means that abundant natural light reaches all the interior spaces, including the 6 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The extensive outdoor living areas are protected from the strong Northern wind but also allow the breeze to provide pleasant natural cooling, making the shaded areas ideal for the outdoors island life. The view is particularly enjoyed from the 14m long infinity pool, surrounded by the eclectic garden designed by Irinella Kandilidi.
